Listen
to Liz's tales of haunted Picton town.
Visit Wollondilly Shire Hall & the infamous Picton Tunnel!
UPDATED FOR 2007!
| Lower Picton Ghost Hunt |
On this tour, walk the streets of Lower Picton hearing about the ghosts of Picton past.
This tour will take you past many haunted sites and where you will learn about their ghostly occupants. Like many before you, may even see or hear them.
As you view homes and buildings on the walk, Liz gives a very brief history of each site, relates the paranormal activity and tells the odd gory story to connect to a haunting.
See where the baker cut his throat, the shopkeeper hanged herself and where young Andrew Knox shot himself dead.
Stories are told of paranormal experiences in days gone by and on previous tours.
Then it's up the hill to the Redbank Range Tunnel, nicknamed the mushroom tunnel. It's also a little darker. It's here the highlight of the evening occurs when participants are taken through an historic, disused railway tunnel and must be brave enough to stand in the dark to watch and wait.
Just want to hear the stories or eating elsewhere before the tour ? Do the Tour Only.
However, for an extra treat, Paranormal Australia highly recommends the Supper or 2 Course Dinner tours which Liz arranges for you @ The Art on Argyle Gallery & Cafe - the food is delicious - but not only that - this cafe is in the old haunted Post Office!

The tour starts just below the haunted Imperial Hotel and walks first to the railway station area. Hear about the ghosts on the platform, the white lady on the railway line and the railway cottages in Campbell Street.
Then challenge the Victoria Bridge ghost and up Prince Street to Argyle Street, past many haunted houses to the very eerie primary school.
You will tackle the old disused railway tunnel before venturing to the creek under the Stonequarry Viaduct where many swimmers met a watery death to finally finish back at Menangle Street.
Again Liz talks about the history of the sites and reveals the identity of many of the ghosts from her research.

| Coach Tours |
As well as the walking tours we also hold regular tours by coach with a two course meal. Meals and haunted sites vary with each tour.
FRIDAY 13TH TOUR
Your chance to challenge Black Friday.
The evening begins with the main course at the Imperial Hotel in Menangle Street. Built in 1860 and first called The Terminus, it has been a hotel since then except for a period of ten years when it was a hospital for people dying of Consumption. In that ten year period over 400 people died in the building.
The coach picks us up at 9pm and takes us to some haunted sites around town including the Redbank Range Tunnel, Ghost Bridge and the Stonequarry Viaduct.
During the tour we will stop at the Upper Picton General Cemetery for dessert and coffee.
HALLOWEEN TOUR
The celebration of Halloween was originally the new years eve of the Celts. It was the time when the veil between the living and the dead was believed to be at its thinnest and the dead would come back and walk amongst the living.
Today, celebrations consist simply of people dressing up in ghoulish costumes and frightening each other a lot.
Join us in the safety of a coach to search for spirits while enjoying a delicious two course meal and a guided tour of Picton's most haunted places.
The main meal will be enjoyed at The George IV Inn in Argyle Street. The inn was built in 1838 and has had few changes since then. Check out the old stables and any vacant rooms before the coach picks us up to go to the Redbank Range Tunnel and Ghost Bridge.
The evening finishes with dessert and coffee in the Upper Picton General Cemetery amongst our oldest residents.

| Coach Tours with Psychic |
These regular and very popular tours were a great opportunity to meet Television's "Sensing Murder" resident psychic, Debbie Malone. Debbie has been on many Picton Ghost Tours and finds Picton the most haunted place she has ever been.
Unfortunately Debbie is unable to do the tours this year but as these have been very popular I am continuing on using other psychics.
The first one for 2007, 24th March, we will have psychic Dannie Formosa. Dannie has been a regular on the tours for some years. Dannie is available for private readings and also has a special interest in numerology.
Numerology is an ancient science that studies a person's birth date. From the moment we are born we begin a cycle of learning, and the numbers in our birth date provide a blueprint to guide us. A birth date can show far more than just personality traits. Ability to cope with the world, career potential, health difficulties, sexual energy, childhood
problems and much more can be uncovered.
On this tour Dannie will talk to participants about her work and tell them what she can sense at our really haunted sites.
Due to time restraints, Dannie is unable to do readings on the tour but participants can make an appointment to have a private reading at a later date or have their numerological chart prepared.
SPECIAL PRIZE!!! One lucky participant will win either a free reading with Dannie, or a free numerological chart.
Participants also enjoy a two course meal and a coach ride around Picton.
The tours begin with the main course at the old Antill Family Home now leased to the Antill Park Golf Club. Here you will hear of the paranormal activity in the home and explore the house and grounds before the coach picks us up to take us to more haunted sites including Ghost Bridge and the Redbank Range Tunnel.
We finish with cake and coffee in the Upper Picton Cemetery.

On this night we will go to two places not usually on any of the tours. We will have access to the Wollondilly Shire Hall, one of our most haunted buildings, then onto the Redbank Range Tunnel (commonly referred to as the Mushroom Tunnel), the Wesleyan graveyard and finish up at the Upper Picton Cemetery.
Participants travel in their own vehicles.
Videos, photo cameras plus other equipment designed to pick up paranormal activity okay on this tour.
Numbers will be limited to 20 on this tour.

| Campbelltown Tour with Supper |
The southern end of Queen Street is crowded with haunted buildings. Ghost stories abound including Campbelltown's best known ghost, Fred Fisher.
On this tour participants will view these haunted sites and hear the stories of paranormal activity in each of the buildings.
From there the tour will head off to the northern end of Campbelltown where tucked away at the end of Beverley Road lies a dark secret - Beverley Park House - now called Lomandra. It was built c.1933 by a Mr and Mrs Yates. In 1938 they donated it to the NSW Crippled Children's Association. Later it was used as a hospital and more recently as a special school.
It is very, very haunted.
Staff have had many experiences in their working days. They have noticed drawers opening by themselves, pictures jumping off the walls and items falling from the tops of cupboards when nothing has happened to disturb that item and much more.
Participants on previous tours have had many experiences also. These have been recorded.
Participants will have a guided tour of the house with Liz and one of the school's current teachers, Mark Peters and told many stories of the paranormal activity. After the tour there will be time to explore on your own and set up investigative equipment.
The night will end with a light supper. |

| Studley Park, Narellan Tour with Dinner |
Studley Park House was built in 1889 by William Payne. It was often called "Payne's Folly" as the cost sent him broke and he was forced to sell it to his builder Francis Buckle.
The next owner was Dr Henry Oliver who ran the Camden Grammar School there from 1903 to 1933.
Arthur Gregory purchased the site in 1933 as a private residence until he sold it the government during WW2 for army purposes. It is now owned by the Camden Golf Club.
For many years it has been inaccessible to the public though stories of it being haunted have been talked about for years.
Several staff members have had eerie experiences when accessing the building.
Used as a site for the television series Scream Test, convinced locals believe the building was indeed very haunted from the cellars to the tower.
Two of the ghosts there are thought to be Ray Blackstone aged 14 who drowned in a dam in 1909 and Noel Gregory, 13, who tragically died of appendicitis in 1937. Their bodies lay in the house until burial.
Liz Vincent Tours now exclusively conducts tours through the house on a Friday night. Participants also enjoy a delicious two course meal at the adjoining clubhouse during the evening.

| Mowbray Park, Picton with Supper |
About 7ks west of Picton lies "Mowbray Park", an imposing colonial home set high on a hill at the junctions of the roads to Picton, Thirlmere, The Oaks and Oakdale. It was built in 1884 and has been a private home, a hospital for shell-shocked soldiers after WW1 and a Dr Barnardos Home for children.
It is now owned by Dr Joseph and Margaret Couch and run as a farm stay, retreat and riding holiday farm.
There are a number of buildings on the property and many stories of paranormal activity have been reported by guests and staff.
We had two successful tours there in Nov 2005 and March 2006 and had access to buildings not occupied by paying guests or family. Participants were given a tour of the property hearing tales of hauntings followed by supper served in the old dining room building.
A further date has been set down for Sat 16th December. This is at a time when guest numbers will be at their lowest giving participants access to more buildings on the site.
One residential building in particular "Cheddington" has recorded much paranormal activity. The manager has offered us the use of this building for the night for a sleepover. Mowbray Park offers bed and breakfast for $75 per person.
Those interested should book and pay for the tour and supper with Liz and the accommodation with Terry Digger on 02 4680 9243.

| Wivenhoe Cobbitty, "Guts & Ghosts Tour" with Supper |
"Wivenhoe" is now part of the Mater Dei complex run by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan. The house was built c. 1837 and was a private home until 1910 when it was purchased by the Sisters as an orphanage. The orphanage closed in 1957.
The house is now used for functions and daytime historic tours.
This is a special opportunity to visit this historic house after dark.
It has a definite paranormal presence.
The tour is in two parts. First is a presentation by "Colonial Surgeon" Mark Peters, followed by supper then a ghost tour of this magnificent historic home. You will then be free to explore the house. Investigative equipment and cameras welcome.
Mark Peters is a medical historian with a difference. He examines the "how" part of medical history and challenges participants to consider what it may have been like to seek medical assistance in pre-anaesthetic days. He will show you strange items of medical equipment and tell you how it would have been used in the 1700s.
It is a brilliant presentation and guaranteed to make you squirm. Mark's engaging style captivates audiences wherever he presents. |
