My friend and I went along on Liz Vincents Friday 13th Ghost Tour on 13/05/2005.
We started out at the Imperial Hotel... heard some interesting stories about the place, then we went on to the railway station and heard more stories.
The night became really interesting once we boarded the bus and headed off to Redbank Tunnel. There is definitely something there.
I was overcome with a strange feeling of depression, my chest felt heavy. My friend and I both felt that there was something "dark" lurking around the outside of the tunnel.
My friend and I did see something white in the tunnel. It started out at one end and moved down towards us all, it was like nothing I have ever seen in my life. I saw red and green shimmering lights at the far end of the tunnel. Other people said they saw someone moving backwards and forwards at the end of the tunnel
The tunnel was so eerie however I am drawn to it like a moth to a light!! Something or someone is drawing me back to it.. (cant wait for my next tour !)
We went on to Ghost Bridge where my friend took some photos and much to our suprise there were orbs all over the pics.. something we'd never experienced before.
We enjoyed Liz's stories and found the tour to be really down to earth!

The best part of this tour 4 hour experience was the time spent at the old Picton Railway Tunnel. The railway tunnel was excellent and we got some great pics of orbs outside the tunnel. Apart from that I found it very boring, the tour guide just repeated old ghost stories told to her, after a while they got very repetetive, not to mention constantly reminding us that she has copies of her book for sale. All we did was walk around and stand in front of buildings while she droned on. I have been on quite a few ghost tours and compared to them I was very dissapointed with this tour, which by the way was a dinner tour. The meal was nice but dessert was cheap woolworths mud cake, I expected better for a $50.00 dinner tour. There was one instance where she took a photo (digital) of this house (occupied) and a white mist showed up in the photo and she was showing it to everyone, when I pointed out that you could see smoke coming out of the house's chimney she just ignored me. I am not a sceptic, I have had way too many experiences to be sceptic, but I don't like it when people who run these tours try to make people believe things that aren't there.

Liz Vincent is a great guide. Her personal anecdotes on the local spirit activity are entertaining and interesting, and she shows a genuine respect for her friends and neighbours who aren't as interested in ghostly goings on (keeping in mind the tour takes place in a small town, and the group makes their way past people's homes). While a tour like this, in a large group (there were around 40 on our supper tour) doesn't lend itself to many long, quiet periods of reflection, we still managed to come away not only feeling thoroughly entertained, but with around 30 really great pics of multiple orbs (taken between 2 cameras). Some of our group were aware of a presence (particularly in the Tunnel), while others were just as impressed with Liz's recounts and reactions from other participants . This tour is highly recommended.

Well i have been on this tour twice now i strongly recommend it.
The first thing i felt uncomfortable with was the orbs following us around the whole night. The second is the redbank range tunnel, the first time i went i hardly saw anything but it did make me sick to my stomach. But however on the second time i saw strange lights at the end of the tunnel, and something coming real fast down the left side of the tunnel. It was real scary but absolutley excellent.Thanx Liz.

This tour was quite good (although nothing freaky happened).
The Tunnel is by far the scariest place. I have been on a few tours around Sydney and this was the best. I would like to go in buildings a bit more though.
Back to the Tunnel... I did not experience anything, unlike some of the young girls on the tour I was on who ended up leaving the Tunnel after seeing the figure of a woman. My boyfriend also freaked out when he couldn't breath and saw green figures moving around the walls.
It is a good tour. I am a sceptic and I didn't see anything but my boyfriend did, so who knows what's really out there?

I went on the upper Picton supper tour with my dad a few weeks ago. at the beginning of the tour before we left, liz vincent
(the tour guide) told us of a ghost black cat following the tour group. she also said of how she is sure it is a ghost
because she has seen it doing a number of strange things and only some can see it. anyway during the tour we stopped opposite
the georges hotel (haunted) and as liz vincent was talking about the history of the building i clearly saw a black cat run
across the road, stop to look at the group in a strange way, and then go and sit under a tree. i pointed the cat out to my
dad who couldn't see it at all although he was standing right next to me. i then quickly turned to the tour group to see if
anyone else was looking at it (which they weren't) then turned back around and the cat was nowhere to be seen. after this, liz
vincent brought up the topic of the cat again and nobody reported seeing it down there but me. the security guard saw it not
long after going into the haunted tunnel. scary!!

We
have been on several Ghost Tours here in Australia and found Liz's
to be the best to suit our taste. It is not played up with "smoke
and mirrors" and is a true tour of Picton's past. Liz is a
very knowledgeable woman and her tours are entertaining, especially
when you get lucky and there's a good group of people to share it
with.
Our favourite is the Lower Picton tour although we did partake in
her special Friday the 13th tour last weekend which proved to be
quite interesting as well as fairly active towards the end. One
of the great things about Picton Ghost Hunts is you can return to
any tour several times and get a completely different experience
each visit.
I would recommend Picton Ghost Hunts to anyone truly interested
in the paranormal and it's a definite must see for the first time "ghost hunter". It's best to keep in mind that it's not
a given that you will actually see something (although we have seen
quite a bi t.... maybe a bit more than we really wanted at times),
but if you keep your mind open and your mouth shut, there's a good
chance you just might.

My
nephew and myself went on Liz's dinner tour about January 2001.
It was all very interesting, and we saw the strange lights in the
tunnel and street lights going on and off as we passed under them.
It's a long drive back to Sydney late at night, so I would recommend
staying overnight if you go there.

Not quite a review. I run the ghost hunts and love your site. Just
a couple of things. I have great difficulty saying no and that's
why sometimes my tours have had up to 60 in them. One week there
may be 60, the next 20. As your reviewer said and I agree, 60 is
too many. I am going to be strong and try to even the nights out
and make a deadline of 45. This should make it more comfortable
for participants, and me. The ghost hunts are a tour. I take you
to many of the sites where there has been ghost activity and tell
you what has happened there. I can never promise a ghost sighting
as it depends on how receptive a person is. If you are not receptive
no one will be able to serve you up a ghost, ever. Sorry. I meet
people who would give their right arm to see a ghost and others
who would give their right arm to stop seeing them. We have kept
a book since March 2000 for people to write in their experiences.
This is available on the tours for reading. There are many experiences
in there so it is possible to see a ghost on my tour. We also have
a folder of photos people have taken on the tour which are fantastic
and cause a great deal of interest. Hope to see you all soon. Regards

Went on the tour last Saturday 7th July. The tour is interesting
from a historical point of view but I saw no evidence of ghosts
during the tour. There were some interesting stories about alleged
experiences which have happened in various places. There is a fair
amount of walking required, some of which is uphill. The highlight
of the tour is a walk through the old disused Picton Railway Tunnel.
This Tunnel is supposed to be inhabited by the ghost of a woman
who was killed by a train in the distant past. At this time of year
be prepared to experience very cold conditions so take plenty warm
cloths and comfortable walking shoes. The were around 60 people
on the tour that night and I feel that is too many as it is difficult
to hear what the guide is saying unless you can be rude and stand
up front all the time. Anyone who hasn't been to Picton should try
the tour as I am sure they would find some interest in it even though
I doubt they will find any ghosts.

I took my daughter on a Picton Kid's Ghost Hunt this week. It was
very interesting and we had a great time visiting places like the
St Mark's Cemetery, the Wollondilly Shire Hall and the Picton Tunnel.
Our tour guide Liz Vincent told tales of Picton past and of all
the ghosts that live there. The tour group wasn't too big and even
though some of the kids were a bit unruly, Liz managed to keep everyone
in line. The adults seemed to be having as much fun as the children!
My daughter was brave until we got to the eerie old railway tunnel.
Some of the places we went to have a definite creepy atmosphere
that may frighten younger kids so I wouldn't recommend the tour
for children under the age of 8.

I'd
heard so many stories about Liz's infamous tour and and finally
went on the supper tour earlier this year (2001).
The format of the tour is quite good, Liz knows a lot about the
local area and told stories of the local ghosts as we walked around
the well-lit town. The tour was 3 hours long and didn't 'drag' on
as some of them do. Unfortunately, nothing out of the ordinary happened
on this tour (I always hear about things that happen on "other" tours but I never seem to be part of those ones! DOH!).
The most interesting place we visited was Picton Tunnel (obviously
the best is kept till last!) which was very eerie! If you go on
this tour remember two things, good walking shoes & warm clothes
as Picton is VERY chilly... especially in the middle of winter!
