Investigation Sheet: 16/17/18 - 09/05

Background information:

This lonely country NSW road was once a popular drag strip in the 1960's. Originally a road connecting one town to another, due to crashes resulting in minor, to severe injury - to fatalities this thoroughfare was then terminated and turned into a No Through Road during the last 30 years.

Reported Sightings:

Still being a popular 'night spot' for thrill seekers and 'bored teenagers' alike there are a couple of legends of ghost sightings on this road. Most being:

- The sudden appearance of an approaching car (with bright headlights the only feature) flying down the road, only to disappear at the last moment.
- A figure appearing in the middle of the road suddenly, causing cars to brake or swerve.

Legends:

Legend has it that any female who drives down this road at an excessive speed (the legal speed is currently 50kms) will suddenly lose control of the car, subsequently crashing and possibly having a fatal crash. Stories indicate that it is believed that this is due to the spirit of a young girl, who died on this road long ago during a drag race between two cars+. Apparrently this girl participated in the race as a passenger, against her will - is she wreaking revenge for her life, cut short by a speeding driver?

+ During our research of the area around the time of investigation, we could not find any official reports of a young girl being involved in a fatal accident here.

TEMPERATURE: 1 Non-Contact Infra-red thermometer, 1 Digital Thermometer
EMF: 2 EMF Meters, 1 Compass
OTHER: None

Recorded activity:

Non-Contact Digital Thermometers:	No temperature changes recorded
EMF Meters:	No unusual EMF readings recorded.
Video:	No anomalies picked up using normal vision, or infra-red.
Audio:	No unusual recordings.
Still Photography:	No anomalies in Still photography.

Events:

VISUAL:	Night One: An unexplained "blue" light streaking across the road. Cause unknown - sighted by 3 participants on 2 occasions.
AUDIO:	Night Three: Object hitting car just before leaving location. Upon inspection could not find any object which seemed to have caused the noise. Cause unknown.

Conclusion:

This location was quite uneventful despite visiting the location for a few hours on 3 consecutive nights. The two minor events (the blue light & object hitting car) were interesting, however inconclusive.

From our investigation, and speaking to quite a few people about this area, we believe that the alleged sightings here seem to have stemmed from high school legend rather than fact. At this time being we do not believe that this area warrants further investigation.
