Staring
at me
Submitted by: Taylor, Washington USA (Added 30/03/03)
|
OK,
so I'm sleeping and, well, you know how like, if someone
is staring or watching you you can feel it, well I was
sleeping and I felt it and, of course, I awoke. So I
turn around to face the stalker and there's light reflecting
off my wall, and as I see this I'm thinking, what the
heck!?! And so I turn around and I see this black outline
of a figure with something behind it trying to get through
the thing to me.
At first I was thinking, holly crap, I'm dead, so I
screamed but I was so scared that nothing came out.
By this time I had seen enough so as I turned to put
my blanket over my head and cry it out I saw that the
thing watching me was trying to fight off the light.
I had three thoughts, either it was the devil trying
to overcome gods help, one of my dead folks was trying
to save me from something, or I was off my rocker. But
then, as I was starting to calm down, I hear this sound
that sounds like some kind of blood-curling scream that
could wake the dead, then everything was gone, and I
somehow knew everything was gonna be alright, and that
everything that I had just seen was meant for me to
see.
My parents came flying out of their room asking me if
I was ok and if I knew what that sound was. I said it
was me and I had a nightmare and they believed me. I
slept the whole night through like a rock and haven't
told anyone until now. |

Indian
Curse?
Submitted by: Sarah - New Mexico, USA (Added 30/03/2004)
|
| When
I was about 14 years old me and my twin sister were
digging a hole in our backyard when suddenly we saw
2 dirty indians looking at us in a very evil way. They
started shouting "a curse is on you guys" over and over
again then spit in our yard and left. A couple hours
later we were still digging and found a skeleton of
a baby's body without a head! On the body was some really
old paper with a different language on it. My mom called
the cops and the cops investigated the scene. Apparently
the body was 400 years old from a Indian reservation!!

Britt's
Experiences
Submitted by: Kyla, Louisiana USA (Added 16/03/2004)

I
have feelings that people are watching me all of the
time and so does my friend but when we look nobody
is there.
Also when an old church that was caught on fire was
torn down I saw a bloody priest with a book.
My friend saw a tall figure in her hallway and her
brother woke-up with a bloody nose. And her uncle
saw him during the day. I think it's her uncle bill.

Chased
out of the Tunnel...
Submitted by: Tom - Sydney, Australia (Added 30/03/2004)
|
On
friday the 5th of march 2004, a couple of my mates i
went to school with came over to my place to hang out.
They hadn't been here long when one of them kept nagging
us to go to Picton Tunnel. Me and my other friend weren't
to keen on the idea seeing as it was quite late in the
evening and the drive was about an hour away.
To shut him up i said "ok lets go"... So we got in his
car and off we went. As we were nearing Picton there
was a horrible stench of blood and bone coming from
the surrounding bush land about 15 mins out of town,
as a joke i mentioned "hey that's the smell of death"..
As we passed through town we looked outside and saw
how plain everything looked, it wasn't all that late
and there was only the passing traffic near the tunnel..
We parked our car on the corner near the station and
the tunnel. We walked up the dirt path and were already
regretting our actions. The night sky was lit by the
full moon, the temperature was far cooler then that
across the road, and as we approached the first fork
in the path cloud covered the moon and the night dimmed.
My friend who wanted to go there was on his phone and
at the second fork he lost reception.
Our feet crunched on the gravel and i said "shut up
you'll wake the dead" as a joke. Once we were about
15 metres away from the tunnel entrance we stopped and
they said there it is (on our right hand side of the
tunnel) and what started off as a blue light formed
into a bright white apparition or a white shadow of
a person. I took out my torch and turned it onto the
figure it dodged the light as i waved it from side 2
side. We said "shit" and we ran away, it continued to
follow us with its arms moving in a walking fashion,
no matter how fast we ran it seemed to catch up to us
easily. It stopped the chase after 20 metres. |
We
ran all the way back to the car the guy that wanted
to go said "catch your breath and go again" and we
said "get stuffed you ran faster then us, you were
more scared"... I almost hit the gate when we ran
out. We then waited for him because he insisted on
going back in again but didn't go past the gate. As
we were heading home we were talking about other experiences
we'd had...
He mentioned that the first time he went there that
he had nightmares for the next three nights about
Picton Tunnel...
We'd
like to mention that the Picton Tunnel is Council
Owned private property and is patrolled by local
police. Anyone found within or entering the property
without permission may be fined.
You can access the Tunnel legally on one of Liz
Vincent's Picton Tours. You can find more info
here.

The
Invisible Guitarist
Submitted by: Sarah, USA (Added 30/03/04)
|
It
was a strange and there could be other more logical
explanations as to what happened. But it started a few
years ago when i was home alone! i had my guitar in
the living room and i was in the kitchen, I heard my
dogs bark and ran in the kitchen by me making these
loud crying noises.
I started toward the living room and my guitar started
playing it self. it was a very blissful sound. When
i walked into the living room it was in a chair on the
other side of the room from where i left it. It just
dropped to the ground but i still heard the music.
It happens a lot more lately i just ignore it, but it
scares the hell out of my friends when they come over. |

Bailey's
Experiences
Submitted by: Bailey, Australia (Added 30/03/04)

This
was an experience i don't know what i'd call it.
it was recently after my grandfather died. i was lying
in my bed trying to go to sleep. i have had a toy fire
engine at the time which i had held on to from my childhood.
the fire engine had buttons on it so when you pushed
tem, it made the sound of sirens or a ladder going up.
when i was just about asleep the fire engine started
to go off and the lights started going. spooky stuff.
another experience was one night when my step brother
fell out of his bunk and broke his arm. every night
i go to bed, i make sure my cupboard is closed shut
and will not open. i did that also that night. in the
morning i woke to my cupboard door being completely
wide open. |

Disappearing
House?
Submitted by: Ian, Michigan USA (Added 30/03/04)
|
My
story begins on sunny, Saturday after noon. I cannot
remember whether or not I won that soccer game, just
the drive home. I live very close to school were we
played. It was barely a 5 minute drive. You took three
turns and you were at the school.
On the way home going down 6th St (The largest one.)
I was talking to my father when I realized a house that
I'd never seen before, my Father also saw it. The driveway
had some rust on it, indicating that it was there for
sometime. I took a lot of notice to it. My Father dismissed
it. I was puzzled. Being in 3rd or 4th grade at the
time I didn't know what to do.
Now I'm in 6th and realize that I should have went and
knocked at the door. The next day I was going to do
something and my route took me by the house. looked
at the house, or at least thought I did. To my shock
it was not there! I pointed it out to my Father, I can't
remember what he did. I went back on my bike, say three
hours time later. I looked around. I felt nothing, saw
nothing except; I could see the breaks in the pavement
where the drive way had been. I don't even recall small
small pavement chips. Then I looked and saw a tree.
This tree had to be at least 20 years old. It was huge.
I would estimate around three feet in circumference.
There was a sidewalk there. It had no rust.
To this day i still think about. My friend lives on
this street. It's not an old street. I am going to go
back there tomorrow. March 11. please, Email me.
Thank you for you time, Iain B. |

Mel's
Experiences: Ghosts & Gargoyles
Submitted by: Mel, Perth, WA Australia (Added 30/03/04)
|
I've
actually had quite a few different experiences in my
life time...
one started when i was roughly 11, my parents were out
for the day, and I was at home by myself drawing. I
was in the family room, which attaches to my room, when
I had the feeling that another person was in the room
with me. Which couldn't be possible, as I was the only
one home. I turned around to see just the back half
of a man walk into my bedroom. I slowly got up, and
walked to my room to find that no-one was there.
Later that night, I had a dream of some-one strangling
me. I woke up, then moments later, felt enormous pressure
around my neck. It finished as quickly as it started.
After that, I learnt to acknowledge the "presence",
otherwise he will pester me, by either poking me in
my back, or playing "silly buggers" The worst was when
he jumped on me. It was very scary. This massive pressure
all over my body, I couldn't even scream. But as quickly
as it happens, it goes away.
I've also had my TV turned on. It happened (funnily
enough) on October 31. I left my bedroom with the TV
on, to brush my teeth, as it was late at night, to come
back into my room and find just snow on the screen.
I tried to change the channel with the remote, but it
wouldn't work, and I had just put brand new batteries
in. So I switched it off at the semi-mains, and tried
it with the remote again, and it worked. So I left it
off, and started reading a book. About 3 mins later,
the T,V switched on, and just snow appeared on the screen.
Thinking I had rolled onto the remote, I switched it
off, and placed the remote on my bedside table, and
went back to reading. The TV switched on again. Naturally,
I started to get spooked. This happened all night, sometimes
the snow would be bright white, and very loud. Other
times, it would almost be black, and quiet, but just
loud enough to heat the shhhhhh sound. My lamp also
started turning on. Well, I didn't get much sleep that
night.
I used to discuss it with my mum, and she'd kind of
dismiss it, until one night we watched a TV show about
the most haunted places in Australia (Monte Cristo House
etc). I said about the ghost jumping on me etc, and
she said that's funny, cos she had that once too, but
didn't want to scare me. I'm glad I know, and she doesn't
think I'm mad. |
One night I was sleeping at my friends house 'baby-sitting'
her, cos she didn't like to be alone when her parents
went out. Well, it was Summer, and the coolest room
in the house was the lounge-room, cos it had a ceiling
fan. We camped out on the ground, and eventually fell
asleep. I woke up, feeling quite cool, and put it down
to the ceiling fan, pulled the sheet up around my neck,
rolled over to face my friend, and saw an old man, kneeling
down looking at us. He was wearing an old brown suit
and hat. He looked at me, smiled then disappeared. Well
needless to say, I packed myself (first ghost I had
seen), and woke up my friend. Told her what happened,
and she said, "oh that's just my grandfather". I have
never met the man, nor seen a pic, but described him
in great detail.
The worst one I've seen, and hope I never do again,
is in the house I am living in at the moment. I was
lying in bed, and my bf had gone to sleep a long time
before me, as it takes ages for me to get to sleep.
We have a fairly big room, with 2 downlights above our
bed. Anyway, I was staring at the ceiling in the chance
that I'd drift off, when I noticed an object, and it
noticed me too.
The only way I can describe it, is that it looked like
a cross between a cat, and one of those gargoyles of
"Ghostbusters". It scurried, across the ceiling,
on it's belly, with it's eyes never leaving me, from
one side of the ceiling, to above my head where the
downlight is. I turned on the light saying "what the
hell is that", and saw nothing. But my cat was on the
floor next to me staring at the ceiling, with his hackles
up, and his eyes were huge. My bf said that I had screamed
(and scared the poo out of him), but I can't remember
screaming. Just a really uneasy feeling, almost of dread.
And so did my bf. Like I said, I haven't seen it again,
but every now and then, I feel a bit uneasy in the house,
and then it goes away.

Grandpa's
Visits
Submitted by: Jeny - Ontario, Canada (Added 30/03/04)

for
one, i aint going to say i believe in bad spirits. bcoz
i don't! i believe in only the good! but when i was
smaller i was only 4years old, i had a dream that my
grandpa was laying in the sand. and i went to go see
him, and he pulled out his hand to hang onto mine. and
he wouldn't move his mouth, but i could hear what he
was saying and he told me he loved me. and this big
title wave came and covered him.
shortly after i awoke my dad had raced in the room,
and said "i have to go to the hospital take Jen to her
gram's" so me and mom went there. soon enough i had
found out he died.
from time to time i smell that same smell he used to
smell like... and it wasn't till recently when i was
17 (now 18) that i saw him in the house. he was just
sitting in his wheel-chair, the way he was when i remembered
him. now to me, i don't find this scary at all. i find
this a blessing knowing he is with me always. i have
to admit seeing that did frighten me at first, but now
i just feel real open to them. |

The
house I used to live in..
Submitted by: Benji - Sydney, Australia (Added 30/03/04)
|
well,
it started to happen when i was living in Kurnell in
the south of sydney.
i was only about 8-10 at the time there was 1 room in
the house that i never really felt at ease in. it was
my bedroom.
some nights i would be listening to my music through
my headphones when my door would open. it was one of
those old doors that u had to pull down to open and
the handle wasn't in place as i had pulled it apart
a couple of weeks before. any way i would just say to
that "leave me alone i don't want to play at the moment".
this type of thing went on all the time. some times
my cupboard would open then the door. u know i thought
that this was normal for things to happen like that.
well then one night things changed that still sends
a chill down my spine. i was about 18 and we were about
to move out of the house when it happened.
i went to bed that night and was sleeping when in the
middle of the night i heard steps down the hallway (nothing
out of the ordinary) my door opened and i was paralysed
with this fear. then all of a sudden i felt that someone
was on top of me pinning me to the bed. i couldn't move
or say anything. this went on for about 20 seconds i
think. then i was thinking to myself "get the hell off
me". then whatever it was let me go and i ran to to
the lounge room and turned on the tv. |
i didn't sleep that night i tell u. we have since moved
to another house and lived there for many years but
some nights i sleep with a light on downstairs as i
need to see light somewhere. i still think there is
something hanging around sometimes as i get cold chills
and feel like a breeze going past me when the doors
and windows are closed. i have moved since then but
my parents still live there and when i go home to see
them i feel that there is something else there as the
dog still barks at the hallway and dining room sometimes.

the power in my room suddenly went out. I mean the rest
of the house still had power all except for my room

old lady appeared at the end of the bed.
She was just looking at me and she also touched my feet.
I kept seeing her for the next few months until i told
my mum and described her face my mum said it could have
been my great aunt.
anyway that's my story. |

Green
Shape
Submitted by: Sally - Australia (Added 30/03/04)
|
Last
Thursday night my partner was away on business as usual
and I had spent the first part of the evening with friends,
catching up and having a wine. I arrived home at 9.00pm
and had a light dinner and started watching TV. I retired
to bed at approximately 10.30pm and my partner called
to say goodnight at about 11.00pm.
I woke at 3.18am exactly by an experience I have never
had before, it was as if there were two people on either
side of my bed pulling the doona down so tight that
I could not move. As I was laying on my side I could
also feel pressure on one side of my body. I tried to
move but couldn't I then opened my eyes and the pressure
went away.
I was looking straight ahead and saw a green shape almost
the size of a small child at the side of my bed. It
was not flickering but moving around and inside itself.
I did not feel scared at this point in time, I was quite
calm then the green light just went away.
I laid there for a while thinking about this experience
and then finally went back to sleep. |

Second
Nature Ability
Submitted by: Jennifer - Texas USA (Added 30/03/04)
|
I
got this site from someone I chatted with on the net
that lives in Alvin. Thanks to him. Now I can share
my psychic experience with the others who have odd experiences
as myself. Even though it may not sound like much it
scared me at the first. So now on with my story.
I first found out my ability when i was about 14. I
had a friend in school that asked me to spend the night
at her house one night and never being there before,
there was something odd about the house to me but I
tried to ignore it.
It was that evening that i decided to use that odd feeling
and try to freak her out.
That evening before we went to sleep she had told me
that the house use to be her grandparents house but
her grandfather had died in the same room she now occupied
from a terminal illness.
The next morning I woke up before her and had come up
with what i was going to say before she woke up. i couldn't
wait much longer and so I woke her up. I had told her
that in the middle of the night I woke up and saw this
strange man standing in the corner of her room across
from us staring at me. She asked what did he look like?
Well i decided to go into detail about his appearance
and what he was wearing. Then all of a sudden her eyes
got real big and she left the room. |
Thinking I had hit a sensitive area for her I started
to feel bad that I had said anything at all. A few minutes
later she came back into the room with a picture frame
and asked me if this was the man. I looked and it was
I had described him to the exact detail right down to
his clothing and I had never seen the picture before
because her mother kept it in a storage box in a room
that no one went into unless it was necessary.
From then on I realized that I had the ability to know
what the dead looked like before they died! And now
its like second nature to me.

The
White Lady
Submitted by: Ange - Sydney Australia (Added 03/04/04)
|
At
the time of my experience I was at home by myself, in
a relatively new house.
When I passed one particular bedroom, which was empty,
I saw what appeared to be a lady dressed in white, sitting
on a chair in the room. When I saw the lady, I doubled-back
to see who was in the room, but there was nobody in
the room. After that, I saw the lady a few times.
One day, my husband was in the house, alone. He was
in the process of moving house and was thinking to himself
whether or not he should move. He told me that he clearly
heard a voice say "Go". Since then, he has refused to
go back into the house, and ever since my husband heard
the voice saying "go", I have never seen the lady in
white in the house again. |
