Simmone's Experiences
Submitted by: Simmone, Newcastle NSW Australia (Added 28/12/03)

Well i started to experience strange things about 5 months ago.

I was lying on the couch one night watching T.V around 12:00 when i looked in front of me in the reflection of the glass sliding doors i seen somebodys legs walk up behind the couch! "well i was outta there"! And after that i got used to the fact that there was somethink in the house and it didn't bother me all that much.

So i would be sitting at the computer and i could feel people standing right next to me and the same thing would happen sitting on the couch i can always feel someone standing behind me.

One night i was watching t.v and the seat next to me made a sound like someone sat down next to me and you could see that someone or somethink was sitting there because there was a big indent in the seat.

Another night i was getting ready for bed in my room when i looked up at the door way i seen a woman standing there in this big old fashion dress i got this hot flush from head to toe and i ran, i was going to run straight through her i really didn't care at that point i was scared but by the time i got to the door way she was gone.

I've also seen someone come out of the wall and glide into another room. i'v also caught her face on film. im going to post it on the website.

Spirit Child
Submitted by: David - Mitcham, Victoria, Australia (Added 16/03/2004)

This could possibly fit into the category of an experience read on.

It was in winter 1996 my fiancee two children and myself lived in a small unit in Sandown Park. I had been looking into pers onel growth especially in my spiritual self. I had been in a couple of circles did reiki and used to fast in order to cleanse myself. We used to clean our with smudge sticks sound and chanting.

Over a couple of weeks i used to wake up and there was the face of a small child about eight years old stroking my face and looking right into my eyes. She had the classic green misty silver light and i could see her very clearly. I wasn't afraid only very honoured to see this being. I rememer talking one night about what did this child want and could do a ceremony for her to send her back to the light. Did she have a message for me. We knew that she must have been listening.

I worked afternoon shift and I got a phone call the next night. My fiancee was frightened and as she was talking I could hear sounds of the flat being totally smashed up. There was one big sound like the television was being smashed. Get home quick. I had to catch the train and when I did get home the whole family was out on the nature strip in shock. My fiancee told me that she had called a spiritualist church minister about sending the ghost away and when she hung up the phone the attack started.smashed plates, books thrown about. It was obviously a physic attack.

She called the minister back and he said he was on his way. He heard the sounds in the background. When i went into the flat found it so cold even though the central heating was on. I found my favourite book floating in the toilet and plates broken. When the minsister arrived he had bought his wife and they saw the child spirit in the flat and she was still very angry like a childs tantrem. They did their best to calm this spirit down and to cleanse the flat.
We were too mystified to take much notice of what they did but they asked if we had lost a child recently.Only a couple of months before we had a miscarriage. It was only early term and I had put the blood clot in a bag and buried it under a small oak tree at sandown park station.

I had a reading done by a medium and s he told me that the spirit in the flat was named Angelique and in another life time she and I were brother and sister.I was the only person in her life to show her kindness and i had been sent away to fight in a war. When i didnt return she had ended her life and spent many years looking for her brother (ME) again. When we tried to send her back she obviously didnt want to go back.

Was the miscarriage some kind of debt she had to pay?

I was married in 1997 and when I found out my wife was pregnant I knew that she was going to have a baby girl. My wife had a rough pregnancy and we were very worried that she might not survive. The second that she was born she opened her eyes and looked into mine for several seconds. Iknew that i had looked into those eyes before.

We didnt name our new daughter Angelique it might be tempting fate a little too much.she is five now and much loved.

Hand on my shoulder
Submitted by: Kyla, Louisiana USA (Added 16/03/2004)

I was laying in my room after my grandmother died.

It was dark and the only light was my LED clock. I saw a shadow on my wall felt a hand on my shoulder.

I was so scared, I herd a voice say "It's ok" it sounded like my grandmother, so I turned around but nothing was there.

Haunted Demolition
Submitted by: Michael + Toni - Southern NSW, Australia (Added 16/03/2004)

Some people believe that buildings develop a feeling or soul of the people that have previously lived in them. Our story is 1 of many but this one is about a building that didn't want to be demolished.

Our local pubs accommodation quarters were to be pulled down for new transportable type units as the building itself was beyond ecomomical repair. The building itself was constructed of weatherboard with an iron roof and had originally been transported there in various sections from different locations and joined together to make one large residence at the turn of the last century. The publican also lived in one end of these quarters. My husband and i were fortunate enough to have been allowed to pull the building down ourselves so as to be able to use the materials ourselves instead of it being bulldozed and burnt.

From the first day odd things happened that originally were put down to the state of the building as well as such things as tools being placed next to you but were found in other rooms when you went to find it. Eventually a room or spot was designated to keep everything in the one place but things still were moved around. This was just put down to carelessness initially until major things started to happen with some being potentially life threatening.

Firstly my husband was up in the roof in the safest part of the building to get the roofing iron off and was standing on the hallway/room wall structure when suddenly 2 ceilings and the hallway structure collapsed completely from under him leaving him hanging from the roof trusses with nothing beneath him. My husband had checked the structure for stability prior to commencement of this section for safety as some sections of the building were not safe to do this in and was shocked to have had this happen. Again this was put down to coincidence.

As we got further into the residence more and more things happened that were beginning to unnerve those working on the building such as hearing hammering in rooms where no one was and hearing footsteps down hallways where no one was as well. My husband also saw dark shapes and shadows with density pass him whilst he worked and watched them go past him into other rooms. This happened mostly towards the end of the demolition as though it or they were upset about what was going on.

One end of the residence was the most active which also happened to be the last section to be pulled down. It is possible that whatever was in the building had been driven to this end in retreat from the demolition work. My husbands brother also came to help and also experienced events such as talking to what he thought was my husband standing behind him whilst he worked only to find that he was in another room and had not been anywhere near him.

This happened often to both men.

My husbands brother took his ladder into one of the rooms that had given particular resistance to being pulled down but was also the most uninhabitable to start centre punching the timber lining boards for removal, when a ceiling lining board directly above his head sprang loose and hit him on the head.

Now the funny thing with this board was that it took both men to pull it down and the rest of the ceiling gave more resistance to being pulled down than the rest of the whole building. Some people may say that spiris can't hurt you but during the last days of demolition many small accidents occured but with the most significant being a direct attack on my husband.

He had just come down off the ladder and was standing perfectly still thinking about what had to be done next when he said it felt as though someone had kicked the side of his knee with such force that it dropped him like a bag of spuds to the floor. We took him to the hospital for treatment which was then refered further onto a specialist now requiring surgery as they don't know what is actually wrong with it.

In the same end of the building they had managed to remove most of the walls and frames leaving only 2 walls in each room holding up the roof. The roof was unable to be removed as mentioned earlier as it was not safe to do so. At this point every time they approached the building to do further works is would groan and creak in defiance and start to move as though to fall on them. When they moved away from the building it would stop. Now this may seem odd or far fetched but this last part of the building had to be tricked into submission.

One man stood at the corner of the building and let it do its groaning thing whilst the other ran around the building with drag chains and hooked it up to the ute to pull it down as the building was not going to let them back in to do it manually.

It took a lot to get this section of the building down and yet it was the most unstable part of the whole building. The publicans wife when asked was there anything odd ever happen in the building in the years they had lived there she replied that she would call out to her kids to get back to bed late at night as she could hear them walking up and down the hallways and rusling in the kitchen only to find them asleep or in their rooms. She did not reveal much more but said that the building had it's ghosts.

Another odd thing whilst working on the building was that all of our family had terrible nightmares about the pub almost every night and after we pulled down the last section of the house we believe that whatever was there followed us home and is still here almost 12 months later.

We will submitt a further story in relation to this and other experiences that we have had at a later date. You may chose to beleive us if you wish and many people would put it down to imagination, coincidence or rubbish.

You decide.

Bright Light
Submitted by: Cody - Central Coast, NSW Australia (Added 16/03/04)

It was about 1am when I headed off to bed, my partner had gone to bed about 11pm.

When I got into bed my partner was sound asleep and I was laying there looking out the window when a very bright light appeared behind me, at first I throught it might have been a car light reflecting off the wall, but as I looked out the window I realised that the light was behind me and not coming through the window.

I was so scared at this point that my whole body would not move, I was thinking someone was in our bedroom with a light and I could not even move my arm to try to wake my partner.

The light then went so bight I had to close my eyes, it was a gold bight glow. Even with my eyes closed I could see the brightness of this glowing light, then it was gone.

I jumped up and yelled to my partner that there was something in the house, we looked through the whole house and it was locked and no sign of anyone or anything.

My partner seemed really short with me and said I was dreaming, I said i was not even asleep.

I stayed up most the night, but no sign of any lights.
The next day about 2pm my partner rang me from work and went on to tell me that he had seen the light in our bedroom. He said he was asleep and woke up to a bright light, at first he thought I had come in and turned the bedroom light on but then he saw the glowing light in our bedroom doorway. He was facing the bright light that I had my back to.

He said it was about 5 feet high and the glow filled the doorway, he said it went really bight and then disapeared. I was so angry that he said he didnt see anything and that I was dreaming. He said he was so scared that he did not want to talk about it last night.

So We had both seen the light in our bedroom doorway that night, but never has it appeared to us again.

I don't know what or who it was in our bedroom that night, but we weren't alone.

The Ghosts of Loch Bruce
Submitted by: Sundog - Australia (Added 16/03/04)

This happened in the summer of my twelfth or thirteenth year. It is once again an attempt to chronicle one of the unexplainable and unusual things in my life. One day perhaps I will go back through them and find a pattern.

I had been a cub scout and scout for many years so it was no big deal for me to head off with a friend or two and spend a few days in the bush.

On this occasion my best mate and I were camping in the forest a few miles from my home at Castle Hill in New South Wales, Australia. The spot we were camping was well known to us. It was a flat spot amongst a group of narrow winding valleys. On each side the valleys were thick eucalypt forest among clumps of Sydney sandstone and pocketed with caves. The top of the valleys were about a stones throw across. In the bottom of the gulley was a crystal clear shallow creek, never deeper than a foot and never wider than five feet it flowed through the thick sub-tropical rainforest that survived in the protection of the gulley. In places it flowed into sandstone rock pools and across water falls of a few feet to about eight feet. One of the original trails used by settlers and convicts followed along most of its banks. There were four major places of interests to us as children.

The first was Adey's Dam. About half the size of a soccer field it was surrounded by bamboo, full of fish and eels, and on private property. Later we were to enjoy many happy parties with the Adeys in an abandoned house by its shore. The next two were the water holes of little cockle and big cockle. The final is where the story takes place. To the north of the area which was to become the local tip and then Excelsior reserve the track crossed the waterfall above Loch Bruce. The name was a joke and I was never sure if that was its proper name but we had been assured it was. Loch Bruce was a place where the path crossed the creek at a shallow flat rock atop a small wide waterfall. It burbled and chattered away through all but the worst droughts and the wide rock was the drinking spot for an amazing variety of small birds. I often hid in the pool before the falls with just my nose and the top of my head out of the water watching the hundreds of birds as they arrived just before! dusk.

Below the waterfall was a small body of water, about the size of a typical large lounge room and about eight foot deep in the middle. The water was always shaded and cool while the far end of the "Loch" was contained by the dam wall built by the convicts or at least some settler folk. It fell another few feet before disappearing of into more rainforest amidst deep valleys. After the path crossed the water it climbed steeply up a rocky track to a ledge, only about twenty feet or so above the water level.

This ledge area was about a quarter acre or so of dry eucalypt forest with a series of caves

Before another short climb that led to the track to the back of Eurunderee stud on Crane Rd.

We had camped in one of the caves and had a fire going in which we were searing a few lamb chops. This cave had a low entry and opened into a small chamber big enough to sleep all four of us but no more. It was filled with leaf-tailed geckos and had had a hole in the roof which allowed perfect smoke escape. It had once been a campsite for the local tribespeople. During the first half of the day we had met two other travellers who, while not staying the night, would certainly share a bit of free meat and fireside companionship in the now failing light.

The cave we were in was close the edge of the valley, we were actually cooking in the trail which ran along the valley edge so we could see across the valley and down into the creek for some distance.

The light6 had failed totally when we heard the sound of equipment rattling and the scuffing of walkers. As we looked down the valley we saw a light appear on the far side of the valley along the trail. (I can't remember one or two glows?) As it drew a little closer we noted the vague shapes of a party of walkers, so being young we had to play at being soldiers and decided to stalk them and see if we could track them without being seen.

My mate Al went with one of our new friends to drop down the gulley and move around behind the group. The other guy and I went a short way from the cave to check out if they would follow the path towards us or up to the now reserve. When they turned towards us we slipped into a flat sandy area nearby and dropped into a trench we found amongst the scrub. We could the trail and not be seen.

They did not go up the trail but turned and walked straight towards us as though we were not in the middle of anything but empty space. We were surrounded by dead dry Aussie scrub and even an ant will make a noise as it moves across it and yet not a crackle did they make. This had not occurred to me yet. What was occurring was that I was watching some sort of re-enactment because now that they were closer I could make out the forms of a number of soldiers (three or five? Can't recall) and two heavily chained convicts. They all walked as though exhausted and their gear made noises such as a lantern clanked on a slung rifle and the chains made a dull sound, their feet made scuffing sounds and raised dust, while the sound of heavy laboured breathing (the sound of tired men) came clearly into the night.
Their weapons were slung and while I am sure they seemed dishevelled I could not tell you why. I still had not registered what was going on but the men were now beside me and they had not looked up or left or right. I was maybe a foot from the nearest soldier, about to admit my trick when they became mist. And in the blink of an eye all light was gone.

The world snapped back into focus and the sounds of the aussie night with its primal cicada scream began again. The other two were only split seconds behind the group and realising our position had moved up to join in when we met the other group. I have seen their reaction on other people. They knew that the group had disappeared and that there were no trails or easily accessible spots beyond our hide and yet they could not talk about it. They had seen the group get to us and that was it, they just went blank each time we tried to say what had happened or asked what they had seen. That was the really scary thing. How much can a person just make go away?

There are a lot of side issues that may have a bearing on this incident and why it happened to me, or in this place. I am only including the one that I feel actually generated the source. I'm suffering an ear infection that has reached my chest and has my teeth aching right across one side of my face as well as closing one eye, I'm on a bunch of my usual heavy painkillers as well as heavy antibiotics so I'm stoned and this really needs editing. Ill do it later.

Vinegar Hill - Uprising in Australia

After several failed attempts, on Sunday the 4th of March 1804, more than 200 convict rebels, mainly of Irish descent, plus a few free settlers, rose up against the authorities at Castle Hill, north of Parramatta, some 30 miles west of the penal settlements at Sydney.

This is the story of the rebellion itself, and names the key players from both sides. Basically, the rebellion was a failure because of poor planning and communications exercised by the rebel leaders.

The rising at Castle Hill commenced at about 8-00 pm when, at the ring of a bell, a convict named John Cavenah set fire to the hut at Government Farm ... this was the signal ... it was on ! The rebels made stand at a place known as Second Ponds, where through treachery Major Johnston arrested the leaders Phillip Cunningham and William Johnston. This precipitated a rout as the insurrectionists were mercilessly pursued, cut down and arrested. Cunningham was then brought up, lynched up and summarily hanged - his body strung up like a butchered carcase from the staircase of the Windsor general store. Thus ended Australia's own "irish rebellion".

There were an estimated two hundred and twenty three rebels who participated in the rising at Castle Hill. Fifteen unknown men were killed on the battlefield. Nine men were court martialed (as Governor King had declared a State of Insurrection and proclaimed the area under martial law) and executed in the next few days. Nine men received a lashing and were sent to work on the chain gangs at Coal River ( the Hunter River coalfields). Another twenty three rebels were exiled to the Hunter coalfields along with four men who "assisted" the rebels and two supporting "emancipists". The other one hundred and seventy rebels were allowed to return unmolested to their places of abode and employment.

The place of the last stand by the rebels at Second Ponds, is the hill on which the Castlebrook Lawn Cemetery is now sited. It became known much later as "Vinegar Hill".

Blue Light Pregnancy
Submitted by: Jennifer, Sydney, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

When I was pregnant with my daughter Ariella I lived in a small house in the Western suburbs, with my new husband, we had only been married for four months.

I am from England so I am and always have been a cynic, but I have to tell someone, that every day I was pregnant I saw tiny blue lights hanging in the room around me and baisicaly all over the place.

I told my husband about it and I think he thought i was just crazy due to the pregnancy, but I swear to all that you consider holy, I saw those Blue lights they were diamond shaped like a star, I even have them on camera.

I think thats all I can say about it but, anyway my daughter is the cuitest most wonderful thing you have ever seen and I believe that those blue lights were some kind of guardian angel.

I dont want to sound like a idiot but those blue lights were real! By the way I didnt smoke or drink anthing, I thought you might think that. I was and am a good Mum. you shouldnt drink or smoke anything when your pregnant so hopefully you will beleive me.

Dark Figures
Submitted by: Sandra - Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

last tuesday i was returning home from a big night out with my lady-friends when i saw something move up ahead.

it was in the shadows so i presumed it was just an early rubbish bin ready for wednesday's rubbish run. much to my suprise, it moved across the street into someones car drive.

it made me nervous, so i armed myself with a small pepper spray. i continued to see them in the shadows until i reached home, when i told my brother, who is a cop. he said they had a couple of calls complaining of dark figures roaming the streets.

when we went looking for them again, we saw none.
No more dogs!
Submitted by: Sheree - NSW, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

Hi my name is Sheree and im from a place called Wedaburn in NSW Sydney. What happened to me is really strange and i was quite scared by it.

I live in a bushy area on the outskirts of Campbelltown. The house that I live in dates back to the early 1900's. Like most houses and farms in my area they all have tales of ghosts and the stories of the folk who once lived on the land. I have heard so many stories about the area that one starts to believe that they are in fact just old tales that people have made up to keep themselves occupied. I mean i had never encounted ghosts or anything unexplainable, and I was not much of a believer to be quite honest.

But.. then one afternoon i was watching T.V after a hot long day at school, and on the top of my television was a dog made of a cement-like substance my mother had bought home from the markets two days earlier. So there I was just watching a bit of television when all of a sudden this dog falls off the top of it... I'm like what the??? I look around, even checked the window thinking maybe it was a strong freak wind or a bird flew in and knocked it over (we get birds flying in windows from time to time).. but nope, nothing there. I did not think anythng more of it. I put the dog back in its place and resumed watching the television. Then.. bomb.. it was on the floor again.

Now I was starting to get worried. I got up had another look around and found that nothing I could see could have possiblly knocked it over. I put the dog back in its place and went to find my mother. I could not find her so I waited another 15 mins or so till my nerves calmed down a bit and went back to the T.V, this time i would not take my eyes of the dog..

I was sure that if I kept looking at it i would surely find out why it kept falling off. 30 mins passed and it did not move an inch, at this stage I was begining to think that I was crazy, so I ignored it once more. Then I heard a noise, I looked up and the dog was not on the floor this time but it moved from one side of the T.V to the other. I totally freak out. I watched it a while longer and it moved back to its same position.. WOW.. I thought to myself... I ran out of that room so fast you would have thought I flew out!!

I eventually found my mother feeding the chickens down the back of our property.. "Mum, Mum!" i screamed.

I think my mother almost freaked out more then I did as she was trying to imagine what on earth could I be so panicked about (as i said before i'm not easily scared or bothered about much)...

I told my mother what I had seen and she just looked at me in astonishment.. She said, "sweetheart are you feeling ok"? "Nothing moved. How could it move? It weighs almost 6 kilos"..

"But mum, I'm serious it moved!"

My mother walked me back to the house and found the dog where it should of been and said that it had not moved. I told her exactly what had happened and why it was back in its same position. My mother said "Don't worry sweetie, you're probably just a bit sick from the heat and you thought it moved."

I saw no more point in trying to make my mother believe what i saw so I gave up and thought to myself, "Hey, maybe it was just the heat."

Two weeks passed and my mother went to the markets again and found an exact replica of the dog she had bought only a few weeks before. I told my mum that I did not like them and I did not want them on top of the T.V, but she only said that i was silly.

My mother put the other dog on top of the T.V. So now there were two dogs at either end of the T.V. So the next afternoon after school when I was watching T.V I was not surprised to see one fall to the floor again. This time I picked it up gently and placed it back into it's position. Then four seconds later both dogs fell off the the T.V and onto my toes!!!!! OUCH!! I yelled. "That's it!"
I picked up both dogs and put them on the dining table and waited for my mother to return from the back paddock when I will tell her that I do not want them in the house no more.

I then went to my bedroom to retreat from the T.V and those bloody creepy dogs. I put some music on and decided to go over some homework

... BANG!!! ...

Hell no I thought to myself as I pictured one of the dogs falling on the floor again

... BANG!!! ... there was a second bang..

i thought I knew exactly what it was except this bang did seem to be very close to my bedroom door and the dogs were in a completly different room... What could have that been???? I opened my bedroom door very slowly because I had no idea what it could be this time.....

I could not belive it!!! There they were, the two dogs smashed into smitherines just beyond my door!

I looked up and I looked around. No one to be seen! Just then my mother came in. She looked down then looked at me, her face went bright red with anger! "Do you know how much those dogs cost me?" "But Mum!" I said "It was not me!!!"

She yelled and screamed a bit, then told me to get to my room. She said I was grounded for a whole month!!

The following week my father had taken me up the road from our house to a mate of his house to borrow some tools.. Considering this guy was really old I decided to ask him about the people that had lived in my house. I asked him if he knew of them or had heard any tales. To my surprise he said that he knew about some old owners of the house. He told me a long in-depth story about a family that had run a chicken farm and how they used to hunt and shoot wild dogs that used to eat their chickens!!! The old man also said that they used to sneak into the other peoples properties and shoot their dogs on the belief that it was also their dogs eating their chickens!!! " Wow" I said.

I told him about the dogs on the top of my television and he said that something similar happened to the last people that lived in my house..

So thats my story.. very freaky.. what do you think??

No more dogs at my house!

Vision of the Past?
Submitted by: Garrett, California USA (Added 16/03/04)

I was out of town near Ol' Mehcico. Um.. What happened was while I was hiking near some old temple ruins I found a small carved figure....

I'm not sure if this counts as a real experience but when I lifted the figure off the ground I envisioned this weird ancient city surrounding me as if I were in the centre of it but it was in turmoil. I could make out fires in and on buildings.

There was screaming all around me then I saw these ornately dressed natives carrying off a Women by her hair.
Dacadaca's Experiences
Submitted by: Dacadaca - Werribee, Victoria, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

Sorry I'm back for those of you who read the guestbook.

I'm almost 12 and have had three experiences.

Here is the first experience:

A customer who my Dad serves at a butchershop had a holiday house in Echuca with his wife. so naturally,we stayed there for one night. Then I found out there was at least 50 worms ( I am sssccccaaarrreeeddd to death of those stupid things.) and a hole in one of about 5 front doors. In my room was a spare bed, a packet of those things you put over your finger if you hurt it, and a cane thing over the wardrobe.

That night me and my sister were in our rooms and heard knocks on the doors. we opened our bedroom doors and met each other in the passage. then We couldn't sleep that night. I was scared because of the worms and my sister had a buzzing noise over her ear.

the next few years we realized my Dad had found someone's ashes in his room and then the house was knocked down.
Here's the second experience:

We went to Tasmania for the first time almost half my life ago, and in the nanny room at portarthur we taped the rocking chair.

A couple of years later we watched the tape to see a figure/shadow in the chair. I went to touch the chair while i was wearing red and felt a cold airy thing underneath my hand, I went to sit in the chair wearing green the next day but an alarm went off. Then in 2002's september 30 We went on a port arthur ghost tour, outside the Junior medical officer thing we saw a shooting star, I thought Ghost.

About 20 minutes later while in the model/seperate prison. In a corner of the chapel room was a Ghost ,gray and floating and large and staring down at us.

Goodbye.

Cold air on a hot night
Submitted by: Lee - Newcastle, NSW, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

Hi, Just saw your website and thought I would tell of something that happened to me ten years ago which is probably most boring, but I've never forgot it as it was a bit freaky.

It was summer in a two storey townhouse I rented in Crows Nest, NSW and in the very early morning hours I popped downstairs for a glass of water as it was a very hot night.

Just before I entered kitchen - I felt a very cold rush of air pass around my legs and being half asleep got a bit of a shock as this was most strange being such a hot night!

I checked the kitchen window which was closed and noone else had visted fridge before me (thinking it may have come from there).

Anyway, told you it was boring to most, but it kept me up rest of night wondering how on earth or WHAT on earth caused this cold air as I'm most theoretical in my thinking and nothing would add up!

Thanks for reading, maybe someone else has felt a cold rush of air similar without any reason also?

Cheers,

Lee.
White Figure
Submitted by: Gilly - Sydney, NSW, Australia (Added 16/03/04)

Once I was gazing into a shallow stream one night. I saw a white figure, rather like human, jump into the stream and disappear.

I don't know how, it was too shallow.

It's still a mystery.

One night me, my ex boyfriend of whom we are just good buddies and my primary school buddy, went first to a dirt road at the back of the Adelaide Gaol in Adelaide, and as we drove down it the guys felt a little uncomfortable, while I felt fine, and as we were getting to a set of lights we heard like a car screeching noise coming from beyond Bonython Park, now it could have been a couple of cars doing a couple of burnouts, but this was like late at night around 11, 11:30 pm.

Then we went to check out Hindmarsh House, we parked in front of a chain that would not let us continue into the church area next to the house so we were happy just to park in front of the chain then all of a sudden we all felt a tingling rush go right through our bodies, I feel like it went through me the most, it was such a weird feeling that I will never forget, unfortunately soon as we all felt that for at least a minute we got the hell out of there.

The second and third time me and Simon (primary school buddy) went back there it was my right side getting the tingling sensation, and just recently on two occasions I have just felt uncomfortable and tensed up, even Friday just gone I felt the same but with some crampy feelings in my stomach so I know there is something there!
The story is there was four men and a girl of whom lived there, the little girl got burned to death in the front room which would have been her bedroom. And people have seen a little girl skipping up and down the footpath, so maybe it was her skipping through me and the guys that night.

But also where the private driveway is and the chain, there used to be a garage there and a car (don't know what type) just used to keep switching itself on and off all the time.

The only real wierd ghastly experience I've had was when I was rather young, about 6 or 7 I recall.

I was up in Queensland on holidays staying at my aunties with an abundance of relatives sleeping on the couch and floor of the rather small house. My brother, cousin, and I shared a small room down one end of the house. Anyways it was the first or second night I had slept there and I had suddenly woken up at about midnight, or sometime close becuse everyone was still asleep.

I lay with my eyes open for about 30 seconds when I heard a few foot steps going up the hall outside the bedroom. These continued until they reached the closed door of our room and then stopped for a few seconds. Thinking it was just one of the relies getting a drink I didnt think much of it but continued to look at the closed door. Nothing but silence for a few seconds, then suddenly the door swung open with such a force that it made quite a loud whack on the wall, I doubt any man could swing a door open as fast as it did then. The other creepy thing was that no one was there.
I immediatly pulled the sheets over my head and stayed like that breathing heavily for about half an hour before falling asleep again. Surprisingly I had found that no one got up that night and also no one awoke to the loud slam of the door being swung open. Nothing else happened any of the other nights but either way I slept close to mum, lol.

I've got a bunch of others from my mum and her sisters in an old house with creepy shit and an apparition but I really can't be stuffed writing it all down.

This is about a family that is really close to mine.... actually my best friend is the daughter........... and she has a younger brother who we all assumed was insane or not right in the head........

the family would be walking down the street and they would all go to cross, but the younger brother would suddenly say 'no i cant there are people over there' but there wouldnt be anyone there at all...........

anyway my friend never believed in ghosts or anything like that coz of the way her brother acted..........

one night she was sleeping in her bed....... her bed is across from her window which faces over the driveway and out onto the street and anyways she was sleeping, and about 1am she awoke to blue lights flashing all round her room from out the window so she got up and took a peek outside and there was a little boy standing on the driveway just looking at her and smiling...

thinking it was her neighbour being stupid she just went back to bed she was only asleep for about 15 minutes when the blue light got really bright so she got back up and looked out the window again, but this time when she looked out the boy was leaning on the fence just smiling........
she blinked and in the little time she blinked he was suddenly up against the window looking straight at her laughing but see, the fence is a good 5-6 metres from the house and anyways she was just crying it scared her so bad..........

she closed the blinds back up and had heaps of trouble sleeping anyways in the morning her little brother came into the room and says 'i heard you crying last night dont worry i saw the boy too'.

ever since i was told and even when she recalls the terror she cries and i get tears in my eyes........ moral is though.......... she believes her brother now and doesnt think there is something wrong with him.
